Every year, tens of millions of people in the world are diagnosed with cancer and millions of people die from this deadly disease. Because it is often detected late in the final stages of the disease, the time to live from the time of diagnosis to death is mostly no more than 6 months. Therefore, patients still believe that being diagnosed with cancer is a death sentence for them. This will lead to a desperate mentality, making the disease worse.
Early cancer screening aims to detect cancer before symptoms appear. Cancer screening can be done through blood, urine or other tests, or through diagnostic imaging (ultrasound, endoscopy, X-ray, CT Scanner, MRI, etc.).
CT Scanner for Cancer Screening
The benefits of early cancer screening are early detection to prevent cancer, have a care plan, monitor health and prepare for treatment, low treatment costs and help increase the chance of recovery.
During the examination process at Dai Phuoc clinic, we have often met very young patients with terminal cancer such as:
- A 25-year-old mother with a 4-year-old son came to the clinic because of a small, painful lump in her left armpit. After performing some diagnostic tests, she was diagnosed with breast cancer that had metastasized to the lymph nodes.
- Or a 29-year-old hairdresser, who occasionally suffered from constipation, went to the pharmacy to buy medicine for a few days to get over it. One day she felt severe pain in her lower abdomen, could not defecate, went to the clinic for examination and found out that she had rectal cancer.

- A 31-year-old office worker was infected with chronic hepatitis B virus. During a routine general health check-up, the doctor advised him to see a specialist, but because he was subjective, he did not go to the doctor and drank alcohol freely. One day, he had a stomachache and poor appetite. He came to see me, but it was too late. He had terminal liver cancer and passed away a few months later, leaving behind his young wife, whom he had just married for 4 months.

Also,
That said: the age of people with malignant diseases is getting younger and younger, we are too subjective in not going for regular medical check-ups because we see that our bodies are still normal and healthy.
There are cases where we advise on early cancer screening packages and health check-ups, but the patient seems very uncomfortable and suspicious, but surprisingly:
- A 50-year-old woman brought her husband to Dai Phuoc Clinic for a gastroscopy and colonoscopy because of symptoms of indigestion, diarrhea, etc. We advised her to have a colonoscopy to screen for cancer because of her old age. At first, she firmly refused to have a colonoscopy, but after we convinced her and gave her reasons for doing it, she agreed. The surprising thing was: her husband only had mild colitis, while she had early-stage colon cancer.
- There was a 46-year-old woman who was very concerned about her health, regularly had a health check-up every 6 months, but she had not yet had a gastroscopy or colonoscopy. She came to our Dai Phuoc Clinic to have it done. And something unexpected happened: she had a polyp #12mm in the left iliac colon. We did a biopsy and pathology, and the result was that we found early cancer cells on the surface of the polyp, but the base and stalk had not detected malignant cells... The complete removal of the polyp was a successful treatment, instead of having to remove half of the left colon.
This shows that cancer cells appear very early before symptoms appear. If we pay attention to our health, have regular health check-ups, and do the necessary tests according to our age to detect cancer early, the possibility of curing the disease is very high.
